The small diameter LSAW pipe mill is to open and level the steel plate with a certain width after slitting, then enter the forming machine, adopt the full-automatic and precise control flexible forming, use the roll to bend the steel plate into a round pipe, use the gas shielded welding to pre weld and cut the steel pipe, and then off-line to conduct submerged arc welding on the inner and outer welds of the steel pipe, and then go through the hydraulic test, flat chamfering and weld inspection Qualified welded pipe is obtained after measurement. The sizing part of the unit adopts rapid roll changing technology, which greatly saves the time of roll changing.
According to the use of products, the small diameter LSAW pipe mill can be divided into A-P-I grade and standard grade.
A-P-I grade is mainly used to produce high-grade steel pipes such as oil and gas transmission pipes and oil well casings. It has strict requirements on the material and quality of the products. The unit is equipped with X-ray flaw detection, ultrasonic testing, hydraulic testing machine, pipe end expanding machine and other testing equipment. The standard grade is mainly used in the production of low-pressure fluid pipes, structural pipes, etc.
Small diameter LSAW pipe has obvious advantages. It overcomes the disadvantages of the weld quality of ERW welded pipe that is not suitable for control, the weld quality is not as good as submerged arc welding and high energy consumption, the disadvantages of the weld length of spiral welded pipe and the weld length of spiral welded pipe that is not suitable for detection after embedding, and the disadvantages of the huge investment and high production cost of UOE and JCOE. The weld quality of the straight seam submerged arc welded pipe is the best and the most reliable in all welding processes. When burying, the weld can be upward, tested, maintained and repaired well. The specification of the steel pipe produced by this unit just covers most of the specifications used in the current oil and gas pipelines, and has a good market prospect. The designed annual production capacity of the unit is 50,000 - 100,000 tons.
The small diameter straight seam submerged arc unit can be used as a supplementary unit of JCOE unit, because it is difficult and uneconomical to produce steel pipes below Φ 711 with UOE and JCOE units. Small diameter LSAW pipe line has the advantages of low production cost and high output. It can make up for JCOE's lack of competitiveness in small and medium-sized fields due to low production capacity and high price.
